confused

im new at this. i don't even know what im doing. i hate this. HELP!!!!

i received this email from my student:

" Ms.Geradline i remember you telling us that cobras can see in the dark. What if i cover myself with mud would the cobra still be able to see me? "

being a biology lecturer somehow gives my students the thumbs up to ask me all sorts of weird questions. me being all for the idea of (you can ask me anything under the sun) have so far tried my very very best to answer to all their queries.

And to add on to all of that i seem to be their go-to-person when they have problems with their friends, girlfriends, boyfriends, family (& the list goes on). which is a good thing as they somehow see me as their confidante.

This is a little incident which took place during one of my lectures on AIDS

Me : so, the gay community in San Fransisco started showing symptoms of HIV & it was discovered that it was because they were having anal intercourse & having multiple partners thus transmitting the virus.
(students looking blur..)

Me : errrmm...you do know what is anal intercourse rite?
(my naiive innocent students looking blur)

Me : well..it is blah..blah..blah..(blush blush blush)
(students laughing their heads off at my reaction)

Me : grow up la people!
